Education
Our Education Ministry is in charge of planning and implementing settings in which children, youth and adults can seek to know God and discover ways to live as Christian disciples. It involves forming and transforming the whole person - heart, mind, body, and spirit. It is about who we are as God's people as well as what we do and what we know.
It is important for us to understand God and His will for our life. In order to do this we must have a good understanding of God's word. Bible Studies are a big part of our developing a closer relationship with him. We offer several Bible Studies at various times during the year. There are many Adult Bible Studies offered throughout the year. Click on the above link to see the detail descriptions of the current Adult Bible studies.
We offer many learning opportunities here at First United Methodist Church. The classes that are offered enable you to not only learn new skills but are a way to develop new friendships. This is a great time to be with other Christians in a fun and learning environment. Click on the above link to see the classes being offered at present some of which are ongoing.
Sunday School is a special time to be in a small group to study God's word and enjoy Christian fellowship. Here at First United Methodist Church we offer Summer Sunday School for all ages at 8:45 am on Sunday mornings and a class for Young Adults (Journey Ministries) on Sunday evenings that meets at 6:30 pm in the Community Life Center Parlor.
