What to Expect at First United Methodist of Panama City (FUMC-PC)
Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Panama City! Our church as well as our city are still in recovery from Hurricane Michael. We are functioning out of just one building of our three building campus. Nevertheless we have some of the best people who create a loving and caring atmosphere that help us carry out our mission for Christ. Our mission statement is “sharing Christ’s love with each other and the world.
We currently have two services on Sunday morning, both held in our Community Life Center. Our 8:00 AM service is our traditional service and communion will be served every Sunday. Our 10:30 AM service is a blended service. It will have some traditional and contemporary parts.
Sunday Morning’s with Children
If you have a child 3 years old and under there is a nursery provided in one of our preschool rooms in the main building. The nursery is currently open from 7:45 AM to 11:45 AM.
Children’s Church is offered during the 10:30 AM service for children 3 years (must be potty trained) to 2nd grade. The children will start in the service with their parents or guardians. The children will be called down to the front for Children’s Moment by the song, “Jesus Loves Me”. After the children share a time together with our Children’s Director during service they will head upstairs to the youth room for Children’s Church. You can pick up your child by heading up the stairs by the Business 98 side doors. If you have any questions about Children’s Church you can contact our Children’s Director, Alison at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are many different parking areas around the church. We have parking available off of Business 98 in front of our Community Life Center. There is also some parking available on the other side of the Community Life Center off of E. 4th Street. There is a parking lot across from the church off of E. 4th Street, if you turn on S. Palo Alto you can turn into the parking lot. Lastly, we have parking in front of our Trinity Center which is located on the east side of the campus off of Bontia Ave.
You can get connected through our many different ministries. We have ministries for Adults, Young Professionals, Students and Children. We also have opportunities for small groups during Sunday School. If you or your children are interested in sports and exercise you can check out our Community Life Center page to see what is happening there. We also hope that you will join us for our Wednesday night Fellowship Supper starting at 5:15 PM. Your first dinner is on us!
