Profession of Faith
If you have never made a profession of your faith in Jesus, we encourage you to talk to one of our pastors. They will ask you to answer the following questions:
- Do you renounce the spiritual forces of wickedness, reject the evil powers of this world, and repent of your sin?
- Do you accept the freedom and power God gives you to resist evil, injustice, and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves?
- Do you confess Jesus Christ as your Savior, put your whole trust in his grace, and promise to serve him as your Lord, in union with the church which Christ has opened to people of all ages, nations, and races?
After you have answered those questions, if you have not been baptized previously, we can talk through what that means to follow in believers baptism.
Transfer of Membership from another Church
Whether you are a member of another United Methodist Church or different denomination, we gladly welcome you into our congregation here at First Church. We will recognize you/your family during our worship services.
Our Membership Secretary will send a letter of request for your membership to be transferred to First United Methodist Church of Panama City.
